Tom loved BBQ chips. He shared that taste with Sterling. Sterling, in his childhood wisdom christened Lays BBQ chips with a new name....Bobby chips! Eating these chips together became their own private ritual - no one else had any interest in BBQ chips.They always had to visually check how many they had left in the bag. Tom and Sterling would be off to the store if the bag was too low without any replacements. I think it was just fun for them. And it came to be that every time we would go to the market, even if Tom was not with us, Sterling would run to the chip isle and pick some Bobby Chips. They had to be the Lays brand too... Sterling new the difference. He is still picking up Bobby chips for when Bobby "gets better" and comes back to his house.
