I did the rig and animation on the three woodland critters (Deer, Bunny, Squirrel) and animated the flying pastries in my shots. This was a pretty straight forward spot, but was my first time rigging a creature that would have fur, so that was fun to see. The rigs themselves were pretty straight forward, not even sure if they had more than blinks for faces.

The animation on them was a bit odd, since the client wanted them to skip in sync with the boy. I put together the animation cycle of the deer first, I kind of went overboard knowing we'd have to tone it back, but they ended up liking it, go figure. Then it was more about matching the rhythm with the bunny and squirrel since they could barely been seen due to framing, so it was more about the height of their jump.

The pastries had a flap cycle, and some face shapes for the frosting. I still like the one that folds his wings and lands on the plate, I thought that was a fun idea. As for the ones in the field, we didn't have an object track for the the net the man in the front was swinging, so I had to eye ball the interaction.

All and all, a fun spot, but I never ended up showing it, since the animation didn't really do much for me (being mainly a cycle) and it was a bit too 'cute' for my tastes at the time. Still though, good team, good project.
