This is an episode in an ongoing web series I developed called "The 101". Our company was tackling a new market, one which contained a less security-sophisticated audience, and we were lacking in assets that helped to educate rather than instruct. Our previous audience was very technically savvy, so much of our messaging and content was too deep for this new audience to consume.
The video series helped in many ways - our new audience was googling simple questions to help them figure out where to begin their product upgrades. We tapped into an SEO strategy to help boost the visibility of these videos, wiring supplemental blogs and web pages to point to the video itself. In addition, internal employees starting out watched the series as part of their onboarding experience.
I had so much fun making these. I carried the whole process throughout, doing research and writing scripts, filming myself and editing the footage. I collaborated with our technical team for research and wording and worked with the demand gen teams to inject this content into their drip campaigns.
