WHAT ARE TAROT CARDS?

Tarot cards are a tool for spiritual readings and have been used since the 15th century!

Tarot is a subset of cartomancy - fortune-telling or divination using a deck of cards.

The tarot deck is consists of 78 cards that can be used for connection to messages and direction in life. The 78 cards consist of 22 Major Arcana cards and 56 Minor Arcana cards.

TwinFlame uses the Rider-Waite tarot deck,. This deck was originally published 1910, is one of the most popular tarot decks in use for divination in the English-speaking world. There are other decks in use too, some of the common ones are the Tarot of Marseilles and the Thorth tarot deck…

THE MAJOR ARCANA

The 22 Major Arcana (greater secrets) cards are used to interpret spiritual forces, focus, and direction. These cards are numbered and do not have suits. Each Major Arcanum depicts a scene, mostly featuring a person or several people, with many symbolic elements. In TwinFlame you can double click your tarot card on the main screen and you can see all of the cards associated with the astrology signs. You can also click to flip these cards and read more about their symbolism.

THE MINOR ARCANA

The 56 suit cards in the tarot deck are called the Minor Arcana. The four suits in the deck are:
- Wands, which is a faculty for creativity and will
- Pentacles, which is a faculty for material body and/or possessions
- Cups, which is a faculty for emotions and love
- Swords, which is a faculty for reason

Each suit card is numbered ace to 10, and has the court cards of page, knight, queen, and king.

The Minor Arcana give insights into the day-to-day features of life, and the court cards represent people you may meet in life.

HOW THE CARDS WORK

The total deck of tarot cards can tell the story of life. When read, the tarot cards connect to the reader’s wisdom and insight, and when drawn, the imagery of the cards can be interpreted by the reader for insights into the future and/or answers to questions or goals.

Sometimes the reader has intuition into a message and the cards confirm the intuition, sometimes the reader is not aware of the message until it is reflected in the cards….

TAROT IN TWINFLAME

TwinFlame’s cards are read by real people, they are not generated by a computer. For weekly tarot horoscope (On the main screen), the reading is a question reading. In general the question is “tell me about the week for Scorpio”, “I’m looking for a message for Scorpios for the week of xx”. This is done for each sign. After the cards are drawn, they are interpreted and then the card pull and interpretation are loaded into the app.
