In 1996 a core group from Hens' Teeth Women’s Comedy Company captured their tour of rural South Island of New Zealand on film.

Hens’ Teeth documentary feature is a very personal and hilarious insight into these women, going beyond the expectations of their audiences, touching and changing them in some way.
It takes us on a journey into the camaraderie of theatre via the essence of these comedians; and into the very nature of women’s comedy.
Twenty-five years later these women bring you insights into the their legacy that continues to inspire and shape NZ women's comedy today.
