Since we're all lockdown I've decided to set myself a weekly challenge, where I'll shoot, edit and post a video in a day. The aim of this is to keep my creative juices flowing while I work on a bigger project and to constantly challenge myself so that I can continue improving.
We started filming my girlfriend making her famous caremelised apples on french toast 15 mins after getting up with no prep and only had an hour before she had to start work. As much as I love my house, it's certainly not the most aesthetically pleasing at times and the kitchen has barely enough space for one person, so it was challenging figuring out how to film this. This is a good exercise forcing me to work with what I have available and improvising on the spot.
All in all it was a fun thing challenge and I'm happy with the finished product. I'm going to continue with this during this crisis and will be posting more from this series in the coming weeks.
Shot on the Sony a7iii with the Sony FE 35mm f1.8 and a couple LEDs bounced against the wall to try bring extra light into the space.
