In every age and stage of life, we struggle to find the right balance.

Our choices for the use of time and energy, resources and areas of resolve, tax us to the most - that is, if we work at it at all. And in some instances, whether we choose to act or plan ahead, we will find ourselves having to lean into - or away from: danger and opportunity, some causes and even some relationships.

We may feel off balance even when our lives are relatively copacetic. We may think we’ve found the balance even when we don’t know what’s over that hill or around that corner.

We may think ourselves prepared, but it’s wise to have some kind of insurance in case the plan, the journey, the short jaunt ‘just outside for a few moments’ - well, doesn’t go as planned.

Whether young or old, in every place and situation of life, balance is key.

But if you think only about balancing, you’re likely to fall off. Balance is what happens when your eyes are on the goal, and your brain tells the rest of you, your body and all that you are, to go for it.

The journey is key even as getting there calls for balance

But don’t think about it too much or you’ll miss the fun, the sheer adventure of 'may be...' or of not knowing (for sure...) and end up inadvertently hurting yourself and others along the way...

... even if ever you are to arrive at your Journey's end.
