Comedy Estonia and Apollo Kino Solaris are proud to present a new fantastic concept: we will bring our best international show to the Apollo Solaris Kino. “Stand Up Comedy with Louis & Karl” presents star of the POLICE ACADEMY films and man of 1000 voices, MICHAEL WINSLOW with his Stand Up show "Michael Winslow's Sound Adventure.

American star comedian, actor and beatbox-artist Michael Winslow is coming to Tallinn in March! Expect just about anything to happen in the performances by this man of 10,000 sound effects. Only two things can be counted on: that all the sound effects come from the mouth and body of the world’s most skilled voice actor and that the laughter never stops.

Winslow has appeared in more than 30 movies, Spaceballs and Gremlins. Above all, his fame is based on the cult fame achieving Police Academy series in 1980's and 90's in which Winslow plays the jestful character Larvell Jones, ridiculing both criminals as well as his commanding officers. It is hardly an exaggeration to say that almost everyone recognises Michael Winslow dressed in police cap and uniform.

The tale of Michael Winslow's journey to international stardom is truly extraordinary. Growing up, he was denied the opportunity of bringing his friends over to his house since his family lived in an air force base of Fairchild, Washington. Winslow compensated for this by making up imaginary friends, giving them voices simply for pastime. Upon realizing his calling as an entertainer, he hitchhiked to Venice Beach, LA and was at the time homeless before he finally won The Chuck Berry Gong Show. With the prize money, 516 dollars and 32 cents, he finally got out of the streets and was able to buy a car to get to perform at the numerous clubs in town. Eventually, director Hugh Wilson and producer Paul Manslanski spotted Winslow doing a warm up act for Count Basie Orchestra at Long Beach Theatre. What followed was the international hit series of Police Academy movies, with Winslow being the only character to appear in all seven episodes.
