Magna, C.I. is a comedy series that exists in a universe at the crossroads of the 1780's and the 1980's. We flirt with actual history, but vow to not teach anything of value. Our hero, Thomas Magna, is a wildly loved and mildly respected Continental Investigator, solving cases in a nonspecific region of post-Colonial America. With the help of his friends Theodore and Richard...and to a much lesser degree, Priggins, Thomas works tirelessly to help those in need, to right wrongs, and whenever possible, avoid all financial responsibilities whatsoever.
This is a tribute to our 80's childhood, and the movies, shows, fashion, and culture of the era. And, of course, with much love, we tip our tri-cornered hats to Magnum, the greatest Private Investigator of all time.
