I completed this piece for a narrative film assignment for the University of Southern California School of Cinematic Arts Summer Program. This film tells the twisted story of a man who falls in love with his female kidnapper, displaying the phenomenon called Stockholm Syndrome. I was the director of photography and post production specialist on this film. I wanted to create a very erie aura and atmosphere to accurately capture the theme of this sick and twisted love story. I had so much fun designing this set and choosing music that would add to this unique ambiance. I feel that the film would have not represented the same sentiment if I did not take those creative risks and implement uncomfortable elements.
