So what the heck is liposuction, right?
It is basically the surgical removal of your fat.
So we're going to go in there with a little cannula and suck it out.
You are not going to grow new fat cells
and so there's really no right or wrong time to get liposuction.
It is always a good time to get liposuction.
Yep. The type we do here at Amelia Aesthetics
is called tumescent liposuction.
If you're out there researching you might be coming across
all these different random names on the internet.
There's a lot of gimmicky or marketing terms out there.
I don't want to throw them under the bus,
but things like a little ‘tickle lipo’
and vaser and laser and smart liposuction.
Do your research, but there is a reason we've chosen
to always do tumescent liposuction,
which just refers to the type of fluid that we inject into the
area before we actually start the procedure that helps to kind of
puff up the fat cells a bit, it helps to loosen them,
it helps to reduce blood flow which helps reduce bruising.
It even has some lidocaine in there to help with pain afterwards.
Tumescent liposuction is the only type we do here.
The best way to know if you're a good candidate
is to have a consultation. The surgeon will walk you through
all the things about liposuction, look at the areas
and let you really know if you're a good candidate or not.
