Take a look at La Página en La Puerta which is currently run by Profesora Lorena. Lorena continues Amy Bakal-Ugarte's work. Amy was the founder of La Pagina, which merged her passions for books, teaching, and children. For the hundreds of children in Cusco who Amy adored, Lagina is a legacy of hope, literacy, and learning. Amy passed away in 2015, but La Pagina will continue for years to come.
La Pagina's library is free to all families. Children from the age of six can come alone or with friends, and younger children are welcome to come with an adult. With each turn of a page, the children's enthusiasm for reading intensifies and without realizing it, reading becomes one of their favorite past times.
