It's time for a laugh ... or fifty!
This next STEAM Challenge (over break) is optional, mirth-y, and hilarious, just like Joke Day!
For this challenge, create a 'puppet', made only of recyclables, newspaper, paper bags, cardboard, odds-and-ends, whatever - it just has to be handmade by you from 'found objects'.
Want to make it a mask instead of a puppet? Sure!
Moving parts are great!! Moveable lips, mouth, eyes, nose, arms, boogers... Get as STEAM-y as you like, and as intricate as you feel.
Video your puppet telling a joke. Or two, if you can keep it all under 15 seconds. Make sure the audio is good enough to hear the joke. **Email me the file, by April 16 at the latest.
Don't include intros, outros, or any text at all. Just your puppet telling the joke - these will all be stitched together into a grand Joke Day Festival Film, rapid-fire style. Having your puppet 'walk' on stage at the beginning and then off at the end will enhance the flow from one joke to another. ** Oh, and film your video HORIZONTALLY - it looks better that way in the final film.
