October 2, 1943 - August 5, 2021

Holly Ann (Wilson) Healey was born in Elizabeth, New Jersey to Thomas and Lillian (Burger) Wilson. She grew up in Newark alongside her three brothers, Thomas, Donald, and Richard, all of whom preceded her in death.

She married the love of her life, Michael Henry Healey, on October 21, 1960. They moved to Asbury, NJ in 1972, and then to Monroe, LA in 2003. Together, they raised two children, Maureen (Dave) Kristof of O’Fallon, IL, and Michael T. (Susan) Healey of Dallas, Texas. She was a devoted wife and a loving mother, but she dedicated every moment she possibly could to her three grandsons, Michael Z. Kristof, Michael G. Healey, and William T. Healey. She created memories for her family to cherish forever. Her family was her universe, and she was the sun.

Over the course of her working life, she held a wide variety of jobs and believed any job she took on was worth doing well. She worked as a dental assistant, a school bus driver, a real estate agent, a retail associate with JCPenney, and a customer service representative for Chase. Her proudest professional achievement was working her way up from inventory clerk to Vice President of Customer Service for Diamond East Labs, a cosmetics filling company, in the mid 1980s.

The quintessential volunteer, Holly gave her time and energy fully to organizations such as PTA, school board, band boosters, 4H, the Bicentennial Committee of Franklin Twp., NJ. She lived the motto “Service Above Self” long before she joined the Twin City Rotary Club (Ouachita) as a charter member, and served as Secretary, Grant Chairman, and President.

Holly was an amazing lady who was liked by just about everyone she met. She had a particular way of making you feel special – whether it was your birthday, your anniversary, or a Tuesday (or any other day of the week). If you ask any of her friends or family members to describe her, you might hear words like cheerful, special, positive, busy, (maybe a bit stubborn), fun-loving, and selfless; however, the one word on which all would agree is “loving.” She loved everyone as deeply, completely, unconditionally, and tenderly as we all loved her.
