더 킹 : 헨리 V 는 잉글랜드의 왕이자 100년전쟁의 마지막 전투인 아쟁쿠르 전투를 승리로 이끈 인물이기도한 헨리 5세를 셰익스피어의 시점에서 바라보고 각색한 희극을 바탕으로 제작한 타이틀 시퀀스입니다.

윌리엄 셰익스피어는 극중 헨리 V 를 젋었을적 방탕하고 철없던 삶에서 부터 왕위에 오르고 난 후 아쟁쿠르 전투에서 승리하여 위대한 왕이 되기까지에 집중하여 이야기를 풀어냈는데, 이 내용을 바탕으로 제작하였습니다.

헨리 V세의 긴 여정을 함축적으로 표현하기위해 각 장면장면 마다 상징적인 의미를 담으려 노력했으며, 그의 일대기가 잘 드러나는 장소, 물건등을 활용하였습니다.

또한 헨리 V 의 시대적 배경을 잘 파악하여 역사적 미술 사료를 적극 조사, 반영하였는데, 예로 14세기에 유행하던 갑옷의 모습이나, 당시 존재하던 가문의 문장과 같은 세세한 디테일에 신경을 썼습니다.

The King: Henry V is a title sequence based on a comedy adaptation of Henry V from Shakespeare's point of view, the king of England and the man who led to victory in the Battle of Agancourt, the last battle of Hundred Years' War.

William Shakespeare wrote the story of Henry V in the play, focusing on his Extravagant life as a young man, his succession to the throne, and his victory in the Battle of Agancourt.

In order to express Henry V's long journey, I'm tried to capture symbolic meaning in each scene and used places and objects that reveal Henry V's life.

I also actively examined and reflected historical art historical materials by understanding the background of Henry V's time, paying attention to details such as the armor that was popular in the 14th century and the sentences of families that existed at that time.
