Play, download and edit the free video Granary Arts Virtual Workshops for Kids / Fluffy Puppy Portrait.

This week for Workshop Wednesday we will be creating Fluffy Puppy Portraits. 

You will need: 
Paper 
Pencil 
Eraser
Crayons, colored pencils or markers 
4-5 cotton balls 
Glue 
Reference image for drawing  or printed image of puppy

Instructions: 
Refer to the reference image as a guide to draw the puppy. Or, print the pre-drawn image.

Draw lightly, making any desired corrections, and then darken the pencil lines with a black marker, crayon, or colored pencil. 

Fill in the nose and bottom lip in black.

Color in the hat and scarf.

Color in the eyes leaving a white dot as a highlight. 

Color the tongue with red or pink and add dots using brown to create the illusion of a shadow. 

Tear the cotton balls up and spread the pieces flat. 

Spread glue onto the puppy one area at a time. 

Place the cotton balls onto the glue, making sure to stay inside of your lines. 

Lay flat to dry.
