Here’s some dynamic balance play coupled with shoulder flexion and extension to open the heart, brighten your energy, and invite mental focus. Try the movement on its own first. Once the sequence becomes familiar, see if you can connect your movements to your breath.⁣

To Try:⁣

Start with legs hip width apart, one forward, one back.⁣

Inhale the arms into the sky. (Shoulder flexion)⁣

Exhale, step onto the front leg and pull the back leg into a high march. Arms press down and back. (Shoulder extension)⁣

Inhale step back to original position and sweep arms into the sky.⁣

Exhale arms press down and back as you lift up onto the balls of your feet. (See if you can stay balanced between the ball of the big toe and the ball of the little toe as you lift and lower.)⁣

Inhale lower the heels and lift the arms into the sky.⁣

Exhale, step on to the front leg and pull the back leg into a high march.⁣

Repeat a few times and the switch to the second side.⁣

Have fun. ⁣
