Today we managed to get to the agility arena! Thankfully no one had moved our previous set up so we got to work on backchaining the reverse of the last sequence. This session I am building Detour to head into the tunnel as I move away to make it down the line, I am only releasing him when he is looking forward - which is a bit hard to do at the moment as he wants to check in for the toy. When I move to backchain the entire straight line he manages to escape my mum twice haha, and takes the tunnel a few times for fun - oops! I want him driving down the line so I am backchaining this and setting a dead toy out so he is aware that the toy is at the end. I also send him to the dead toy over the last jump a few times just so he is sure that it is there. Then we put the whole line together again. Once I'm happy with this, I try the entire sequence. He misses the second tunnel the first time, so I bring him back around and push him to it again and he has success. Next time, he takes the entire sequence and I put some more effort in and run at the tunnel which helps. He's not fully driving down the line so I send my mum to hold the toy at the end and set him up on the start line rather than going from a restrain. He does this well and almost kills me on the blind, then we repeat without me almost dying on the blind - happy with his drive!
