Anabelle loves to cook. She says cooking dinner is one of the most enjoyable parts of the day for her. In order to represent this on an animated personal ident, it was essential that the tone of the piece was upbeat fun and eccentric. This was achieved by using exaggerated animations in what in reality would be very mundane movements. Colour plays an equally important roll in having them bright and glowing. By using rotoscoping techniques along with other forms of basic masking the animation has more of a classic drawn effect when looking at the physics of the movements of the elements. This contrasts to other techniques that can feel clinical or sometimes to whimsical. Sound effects during the animation take the exaggeration to another level as the visual elements somewhats resemble what they’re supposed to be in reality, whereas, the sounds are quite contextual and may not sound the same if it wasn’t for the visual aspects. The ident tells a story of someone who brings joy life to daily task other subjectively hate.
