Artists for Peace and Justice is comprised of Hollywood creatives like Susan Sarandon, Ben Stiller, Jackson Browne, etc. Their flagship effort is a school they built in Haiti. They work with locals on the ground to develop and run the academy.

Some of you heard Joaquin Phoenix’s Golden Globe speech calling Hollywood elite to make sacrifices in their own lives — this is Hollywood doing just that. I can attest to the judiciousness with which they use funds, as well as the generosity the leadership exudes.
This video captures APJ’s 10th Anniversary fundraising gala in Toronto. For the narrative structure, we wanted to showcase the event’s poetic, inspiring and humorous tone, something we wouldn’t catch had we interviewed the sound-bite-trained celebrities. Supplementing the b-roll and clips from the impassioned speeches is imagery from a documentary we filmed in Haiti (coming soon).
The result is a video that juggles information while being fun to watch!
