After feeling extremely underwhelmed and unchallenged, I decided to study and learn something new. I’ve always believed that you can’t truly master your craft unless you revisit the roots and learn the original techniques of it. This has allowed me to grow an understanding and respect of how the greats who came before me did it. It’s been a fun and trying experience learning 16mm. It’s definitely taught me patience and showed me that I still have SOOO much to learn. I’ve enjoyed the fuck ups because it forces me to appreciate each take and because the fuck ups still produces something beautiful. Realizing that film is literally just science and art working together makes me even more proud to do what I do. Thanks to my bro @shawscope for being a great teacher. Here’s my first test roll that I got back. All Raw footage. No Edits. No added effects.
