Tickets are still available for the 2021 Gorilla Kickoff Party and Auction which is set for Friday, August 20, at the Robert W. Plaster Center.

The event replaces the Gorilla Gala that was last held in 2017. This new event still includes a live auction featuring the world famous Nigro Brothers from Kansas City.

The Gorilla Kickoff Party and Auction, presented by Chatters and Jay Hatfield Auto Group, will be similar in format to past Gorilla Gala events. With a "Block Party" feel, patrons are encouraged to come relaxed and ready to spend time with PSU coaches and staff as well as fellow Gorilla fans in a fun atmosphere.

Cost to attend is $40 per person. A table of 10 also is available for $350 and a "Gorilla Supporter" option, which includes a table of 10, three VIP parking spaces for the evening and recognition on the video board during the event, is available for $1000.

Happy Hour begins at 6 p.m. followed by dinner, yard games, wine pull & drawings and live music. The live auction will wrap up the evening beginning at approximately 8 p.m.

The live auction will showcase professional sports memorabilia including several Kansas City Chief signed items: a Patrick Mahomes signed jersey, Patrick Mahomes signed football, Travis Kelce signed jersey as well as a full sized helmet signed by the 2021 Chiefs team. Additional pro sports memorabilia include a soccer ball signed by international star Cristiano Ronaldo of the Serie A club Juventus and a baseball signed by MLB MVP candidate Fernando Tatis Jr. of the San Diego Padres.

Trip packages include a two-night stay for four in Las Vegas for a Raider game, accompanied by a meet & greet with Pitt State great John Brown. The trip includes private round-trip airfare. Gorilla alum Willie Fritz also has provided a New Orleans getaway for four people to watch the Tulane Green Wave. This trip includes lodging, tickets, sideline passes and a meet & greet.

Another great trip is a Kansas City weekend wine pairing dinner for eight at Shadow Glen Golf Club sponsored by PSU alum Miles Schnaer and Schaer Family Wines.

Several local watch parties, dinners, events and other items are included as well.
