Fun wagons just don't get built very often anymore, and when they do, expect some serious sticker shock (think E63 or CTS-V.) The Legacy slides right into this niche perfectly, combining heart-pounding driving dynamics with space to haul the whole family and all your stuff. This 1994 BG5 is finished in Emerald Green Metallic (443) which is one of those colors that will never go out of style. The British Racing Green hues will forever live as one of the greatest colors ever put on four wheels. The paint shows exceptionally well, free of any real stone chips or routine blemishes. The body follows very similarly with only a couple minor door dings to report. While all OEM there are quite a few tricky little factory touches like the integrated brush guard and oversized fogs. It even sports an additional set of smaller white fog lights so you can switch between the two depending on which is more effective for each situation.

While the body has been well maintained, the interior was held to even higher standards. The interior of the BG5 is simple, yet thoughtful, and utilizes quality materials for its construction. Unlike Toyota or Nissan, Subarus rarely suffer from heavy interior wear and this particular one exemplifies that. The dash hasn't seen any distortion, cracks, or discoloration from the sun that many vehicles are plagued by. One of the more rare features of the era were leather seats. The charcoal leather has held up quite well over the years with only your typical cracks from day to day use. The fronts are even heated which is really rare for the era regardless of the manufacturer. Of course, these came with all of the standard power accessories of the time like the power windows, mirrors, locks, cruise control, and digital climate control. It even has two sunroofs so both front and rear passengers can enjoy. While the front one is stationary the rear one has the typical power open and venting settings. The 60/40 split-folding rear seats mean that you've got plenty of cargo configurations when you don't need to haul around the whole crew. It's even sporting some of the more typical safety features that are normally lacking like a driver and passenger airbag.

The powertrain is exclusive and highly prized in amongst Subaru die-hards. This twin-turbocharged two-liter EJ20H makes incredible power with little lag. The automatic transmission shifts as it should, and provides relief for those with a traffic-filled daily commute. Power is split between front and rear with Subaru's vaunted symmetrical all-wheel-drive system. The suspension feels fresh still, and the OEM struts have ample ground clearance for those looking for some light offroad adventures. Large and small potholes alike are no match for the platform, and grip comes from four new all-season tires. With only 72K verified miles the startup is brisk, and the boxer sets into its trademark charismatic idle thanks to a new set of plugs. When you add in the fact that the Legacy was sold here stateside it makes the parts availability much easier than on some of our more obscure imports. Just because it's practical doesn't mean this little wagon can't rip, once the boost comes in this thing hauls (literally and figuratively.) Whether you're looking for a practical new daily or just a fun weekend toy, this wagon has you covered!
