World Cinema: A Danish melodramatic comedy film directed by Pernille Fischer Christensen which incorporates many of the austere techniques of Dogme style.

A touching story about two unlikely friends who help each other come to terms with the reality of their various emotionally challenging situations, when a woman in her early thirties leaves her boyfriend and moves in to a block of flats where she befriends the woman downstairs.

Charlotte (Trine Dyrholm), the owner of a beauty salon, breaks up with her abusive boyfriend and moves into her own apartment. Below her lives Veronica (David Dencik), a preoperative transsexual. The two become tentative friends after Charlotte saves Veronica's life, and Veronica protects Charlotte from her ex-lover. Both are surprised and confused when friendship turns into romance.
