Twice this winter, God has given me the same beautiful morning.

A clear, sunny sky, and frost covering every surface I can see. Everything shimmering and white. The first time, I stood in my house taking it in. I snapped some photos and stood there stuck in place, just looking at it through the window, wishing I had slippers on. I wanted desperately to go out and document it properly, but then I thought about the effort and time it would take to get out the camera, load up some lenses, get the tripod or whatever else I wanted to use, get good shots, change lenses, get more good shots (but different ones), stay warm, and hope I could get enough decent footage before the frost melted away. All of that added up to me just not going out, and kicking myself the rest of the morning once the frost was gone.

But the second time I was given such a morning, I made a decision, and then acted on it before I had time to talk myself out of it. I'm glad I did, because I ended up with some beautiful shots, and now I don't have to feel like I'm missing out if I don't film it the next time!
