Absentia interrogates the psychic rupture of physical and emotional separation from human involvement. The image of isolation in this work is inverted and reversed from the dominant cultural meme of connection and presented as poetic absence. The psychic struggle in experiencing this work is to locate a personal place in the void. Distorted projections of presence and absence are fractured and then re-formed through the viewer’s engagement.

The reel shows clips that catch the essence of the film, behind the scenes aspects of its production, and its presentation as expanded cinema.
