Workshop with Verbier Art Summit 2020
In collaboration with the Verbier Art Summit 2020 curator Jessica Morgan, Nathalie de Gunzburg Director of New York’s Dia Foundation and Anneliek Sijbrandij, founder of the non-profit Verbier Art Summit, the students of MA Space and Communication proposed several interventions for the annual weekend long conference in Verbier with the objective of generating innovative ideas and exploring the potential of art to effect social change. “Resource Hungry”, inspired proposals about the effects of climate change, our changing relationship to the natural environment, and considerations about material sustainability.
The project Chair Constellations by Tejal Gala and Alessandra Hoffman was selected and produced for the event. Tejal and Alessandra sourced locally repurposed awning fabric from which they hand-made the linking back cover.
