SYNOPSIS:
Vanrakshak is not just a title or a post, it represents a team of field functionaries of forest department including the Forest Guards, Watchers, Deputy Rangers, Rangers, Mahaouts, and many more. They are the real heroes behind the everyday hardship and struggles of otherwise calm forests. To save something, one has to sacrifice one's life and needs. To save this planet and its creatures these Vanrakshaks make numerous sacrifices each and every day.
They work 24x7, no matter the conditions, they just provide their 100%. Serving for mother
nature and its creatures is not an easy job, 47 forest personnel have lost their lives while
saving this planet from 1961-2019.
Vanrakshak is a story of hardship, struggle and bravery of each and every forest personnel working in Madhya Pradesh and all across India.
The WCFF mission is to inform, engage and inspire wildlife conservation through the power of film.
WCFF celebrates our eleven year anniversary, October 14-24, 2021 at the Cinema Village Theater and other venues. Ten days of film screenings, panel discussions, networking, receptions, field trips, workshops and more.
Over 100 international documentary films to be screened. Many World and north America Premieres. Filmmakers, scientists, photographers and conservationists will be in attendance to engage the audience, discuss the films and their projects across the globe.
