During a press conference, a leading politician is about to inform the general public about an upcoming catastrophe. The chatter of questions is audible, but the muffled voices slowly fade away. The hero is unable to utter a word. On a sudden impulse, he leaves the building and simply starts walking. Faced with the inevitable end, he wants to break out of a state of dullness, indifference, and desperately tries to feel something real, tangible.

Following the title of the album ("Offline") and the meaning of the lyrics, we reflect on the theme of duality of everyday life. We function in the physical world, but we are often emotionally depleted by the second reality - news, social media, future forecasts, the need to keep ourselves constantly updated and to control virtual "events".

We do not, however, interpret the song's message through a broad political context, but instead we reduce it to a human, individual dimension. As our hero, we choose a character present in the very center of events, who spent most of his life bending the truth, turning empty information. It is a portrait of a man who, in the face of the end, tries at all costs to find a living element in himself, to identify with something real.

In "Sleeper Agents" we juxtapose the grotesque with realism, and slightly comedic situations reveal our helplessness in contact with the surrounding world.

Looking for the appropriate language and visual code, together with DOP Kacper Zięba, we decided to make this film using 16mm tape.

We wanted the story to be universal and in a certain way "out of time". We tried to relate the theme of inevitability to "ends" we experience each day, large and small. We believe that the plasticity of the 16mm negative is the perfect tool to achieve this effect. The mood is saturated with a delicate, sentimental color, while spaces and light gain a slightly vintage, timeless look.
