In this film, follow the odyssey of Ismaël Patu Huukena in an extraordinary adventure, a spiritual challenge that leads him to swim to five of the fourteen islands of the Marquesas Archipelago in the Pacific Ocean.
During the four swim crossings that punctuate this journey, Ismaël is led to encounter many forms of marine life, but also to deal with the vagaries of the weather and sea in the Pacific. This contact with the ocean is at the heart of his initiatory quest. Thus, each crossing is an opportunity to discover the very special relationship that exists between Ismaël and the Pacific Ocean.
His adventure begins upon his arrival on the island of Ua Pou, coming from Tahiti, in the company of Teve Kahia, the island's mayor.
