Part of the LRT documentary series Theatre, this film is dedicated to the unique 2019 event - the opera-performance "Sun and Sea (Marina)", which represented Lithuania at the Venice Biennale and won the prestigious Golden Lion award. The film follows the entire process of the pavilion installation - from May, when tons of sand needed for creating the beach were brought to Venice from Lithuania, until October, the last days of the pavilion. The opera director Rugilė Barzdžiukaitė, composer Lina Lapelytė, author of the libretto Vaiva Grainytė and soloists talk about the setting up of the pavilion, their surprise at receiving the award, the biggest challenges during the six months of the biennial, and managing thousands of audience.
