created together with Sanne Krijgsman and Machteld Aardse

‘This salon brings together my experiences of the past two years working at the Studio MAPA Nederland. During many trainings and workshops I have studied mime movements, object animation, working with theatrical light and many other aspects of performing arts. In my own research I focused on the connection between textile and movement.

‘Home Sweet Home’ investigates the memory of my family through the original textile pieces. Each object representing one family member. During this salon I will present my new stop-motion animation based on the previous performative installation I’ve made at the Studio MAPA.

‘Geranos’ is inspired by mythological story of Ariadne and the thread through the labyrinth. Moirai, three Sisters of Fate, perform the story. They control the thread of life from every person by spinning it, measuring it and cutting when the time has come.’
