EN synopsis:
The film is shaped as a diary of the author's memories, telling about the problematic relationship between father and daughter caused by the father's mental illness, and the troubles caused by this condition during the author's growth.
The need of the author to free herself from the influence of the past and to break the shell of silence around this painful situation brings her back to Belarus, to shoot interviews with various family members and collect also their memories and points of view.
The author takes responsibility for her emotions and concludes that she needs to free herself from the influence of the past, associated with Papa's disease, and finally build her independent self-portrait. This gives her a chance to revive and to finally show the sincere feelings of the adult daughter to her Papa.

PL streszczenie:
Film jest historią autobiograficną i posiada formę dziennika wspomnień, opowiadających o tym, jaki wpływ miała problematyczna relacja z ojcem na kształtowanie emocjonalnej strony osobowości autorki. Jako motyw do realizacji tego tematu posłużyło poczucie zagubienia własnej wartości z powodu choroby psychicznej Papy i długoletnie przekonanie, że o tym nie wolno mówić.
Sięgając do starych filmów i zdjęć archiwalnych, rodzi się uczucie tęsknoty i smutku. Autorka bierze odpowiedzialność za swoje emocję i dochodzi do wniosku, że potrzebuje uwolnić się od wpływu przeszłości, związanej z chorobą Papy i w końcu zbudować swój niezależny autoportret. To daje szansę na odrodzenie i wreszcie pokazania szczerych uczuć dorosłej córki do Papy.
