He is not the offender and yet he feels guilty. A young man hears about a crime of sexualized violence against a close friend. Because of his gender, he feels morally responsible for that tragic fate. A newspaper article brings back the memory of that moment in the hospital, shortly after the crime happened. From the perspective of a discouraged man, the film is his searching for words to put on the unpleasant feeling of being a man.

The film was made within a sound seminar at the documentary film school ZeLIG. One's own voice and personal texts should become the main element of the work. The difficulty of this film was to find words for something for which one lacks words. Talking about sexualized violence against women as a man felt like a tightrope walk for me. My imaginary letter is an intimate confrontation with the responsibility of my gender and personal guilt.
