Welcome to the live-stream broadcast footage of the April 24, 2021, house show at Casa Berenice! Stay tuned for an evening of solo sets from Heather Lockie, Daniel Vincent, and Steven van Betten. This line-up was inspired by the Song-A-Day-For-A-Month project at songadayforamonth.com and features live audio/video broadcast mixing on the fly by Clay Chaplin. Also not to be missed: excellent interstitial slow-motion footage of the Casa Berenice CATs.

Marshweed is the solo project of LA-based songwriter, painter and performer/composer Heather Lockie. She writes music inspired by plants, people, growing up, growing down. In addition, she paints graphic scores and realizes performances from them, as well as writes string arrangements for other peoples' music. She lives at Casa Berenice, where she operates a private music studio and co-produces house shows and podcasts with Clay Chaplin. This evening, she presents songs on the piano of longing and loss, and love.

daniel-vincent performs folky-mathy-8bitty-quarantine greatest hits written in his bedroom. For this show, daniel-vincent is present in a visual form that is suitable to the human mind, playing sounds that are guaranteed to be both audible and inaudible, and tolerable and intolerable, to the human ear. Attn: feedback. His weird human mouth makes noises that you can interpret as heartfelt words, which when combined have a non-zero probability that you will feel feelings. Also, don't be discouraged! If you are a human, his weird human mouth won't be weird to you; it's all relative is the point. His weird human fingers apply pressure to digital synthesizer keys and sampler pads, as well as to a primitive plastic wood electronic hybrid stringed device your kind calls a guitar. Again, the above point applies, and his weird fingers are not expected to appear weird to humans.
