At seventeen Amber chose to use the Swedish gender-netutral pronoun hen, and began seeing a therapist specializing in gender identity. Amber is a part of the new queer generation who confidently demands the liberty and possibilities not freely given to them by society.

This documentary spans over a period of three years, and in addition to Ambers journey, it is also a portrait of the friendship with Sebastian. They support each other through thick and thin, inseparable until they in individual ways experience first love, and cracks begin to appear in the foundation of their friendship.
