80% of alpacas from all over the world are found in Peru. Knowing that the alpaca textile industry is in full international bloom, I wondered why the “alpaqueros” who are the base of the pyramid of this great industry seem abandoned by the institutions and live in extreme poverty or with limited livelihoods. Without them, who would care for these mythological animals?

While traveling; I also met businessmen, industrialists, intellectuals who work and study the world of alpaca. And it seemed important to me that all, as children of the Sun and of the Inca Empire, we had to meet and dialogue to protect the alpacas, jewel of our historical heritage, and to value their noble guardians. The only way was to make this film and I prepared my camera and went to meet them to film them.
