See the world through the eyes of a young girl who has sensory overload disorder, understand every sound, movement and feeling.

This is a short experimental film is about how it looks and feels to have sensory autism. Living with someone who has Autism can be difficult, frustrating, embarrassing at times. Throughout the film, I wish to present the difficult aspects that come with these personalities but also acknowledge the good aspects too that come with it. However, I do not wish to have an observant perspective on the matter but rather join them and to explore the journeys inside their heads. This will aim to provide the viewer a new perspective on everyday senses. This journey is played out through the eyes and ears of a young girl living with her family who does not understand her perspective. The girl also goes through the process of being “fixed” with therapy to try and change her into something we perceive as normal. However, this is not a possibility neither does it matter as the girl is happy with the way she is, she knows nothing else. The film starts from outside the girl’s head from another’s perspective but then we take a leap into her perspective to see what she is really controlling inside.
