This film was produced for National Geographic during the time before they went public. It was shot on 16mm film by Bob Carmichael who produced and directed the project. Ron and Bob Condon were the in-water cinematography team. Joe Montgomery was gaffer and first Assistant, Alan Balladur was the production manager and the assistant producer was Amory Gable. Ken Bradshaw, Derrick Doerner, and Michael Ho were the principal surfers along with teenage Noah Johnson. Interviews were made with Greg Noll, Peter Cole, and Ricky Greg. Appearances and analog surf forecasting by George Downing. We spend two months of the North Shore creating this film in the winter of 1994.
