Short film synopsis:
Feet on the ground and head in the sky, a young father named Jeremy struggles to provide for his family. On the night of his son's 10th birthday, Jeremy's desire to provide a better life for his family lands him in a predicament that will change him forever. This film is the story of trauma, perseverance, and family told through the intimate lens of a young black father. "Thousand Lights of Sun" was loosely inspired by the Langston Hughes poem "As I Grew Older".
