I know it sounds absurd.
It seems the grass is always green
if you are a beauty queen.
But it is just a smokescreen

On a walk one Summer day,
I was a young girl. Just ten.
My big sister's classmate
beckoned me in
to a cool little trailer
parked in his backyard.
I was too young to know
why he wanted to go.
It was a lesson that scarred.
