SBS will screen The Story Of The Road on Friday April 24th at 4pm. This television premiere is planned for ANZAC Day eve and will be available to view on SBS On Demand following the television broadcast.
The Story of the Road was funded by the State Government as part of the Great Ocean Road Centenary Celebrations. September 19th, 2019 marked 100 years since construction began on the Great Ocean Road, a soldier reemployment program that saw returned servicemen working on the construction of the road for 13 years following the end of world war one.
The project was facilitated by Great Ocean Road Regional Tourism, funded by State Government and supported by Regional Roads Victoria, Colac Otway Shire, and Surf Coast Shire. Creative directors of the Centenary project were the Social Crew and the documentary was produced by Clothesline Content.
