I thought about what the word bright meant to me and found that it was not the metaphorical sense of someone bright as in talented that attracted me but simply the sun. It is the element that brings light to all our lives and I wanted to capture that in a simple way. I found it was possible to walk just before the sun had risen and see the path where one is walking. This is why I decided to film a path illuminated by the sun light and reveal the sunrise at the end. I found it was difficult to record with the sound of the wind so had to take a microphone and record only the steps and add that to the film later. I wanted to show that no matter where we are there is always light even if it is not always from the sun (like in the dark street).
