This film (my first!) is about embracing the imperfections in life. This has been a season of surrender - and also seeing beauty in the ordinary and less than perfect.
For my boys, I hope that this film reminds them of this, as well as the daily adventures they have, and their relationship to each other, and Mother Nature.
On a personal note, we lost a couple of farm pets this year, and also witnessed others heal with time and love through our hands. The baby duck in the end scene has a deformity, and has been a reminder that all life is valuable, and precious.
