A response to the work of Albert Camus and the absurdity. Following from first ideas of absurdity in the previous title video and how it may feel to start asking questions of existentialism. The film poses an answer as to how one is to live after coming to the revelation that life is absurd.
‘The Absurdity’ is a soft yet sharp and digestible take on a relevant discourse. It is an abstract discussion on existentialism through the monologue of a child. The child-like narrator acts as a guide on this introspective journey as a tool to simplify and normalise an otherwise unpopular and uncomfortable topic of discussion.

The title taken from the book, ‘The Myth of Sisyphus’ by Albert Camus, and is referenced throughout the monologue along with other lines from the book. Each line taken is given a brief answer. The absurdity being that man seeks the meaning of life and is unable to find one. ‘The absurdity’ bringing to the forefront the idea that there is beauty in the lack of meaning and purpose in life, making room for a new genre of hedonism.
