PARTIR is a story of migration. It’s a collective movie made from a text written by many hands. It tells the journey of foreign unaccompanied minors who, despite the dangers, left their home for another life. They tell it on streets and squares. It’s the story in five acts of those who decided to leave.

PARTIR was written and shot in La Rochelle during the summer of 2018 with the help of the Charente-Maritime Department. Directors Nicolas Glorieux and Camille Julie guided a group of 12 young unaccompanied minors from West Africa in the collective account of their journey to France. The writer Hakim Bah supervised the young people in the writing of 5 fictional texts retracing each acts of their travel. they drew on their personal experience to tell the story of a fictional character who represents them all. These texts served as a scenario for the production of the Partir acts. The guys filmed scenes in La Rochelle and Saintes by setting themselves up among the tourists. Each episode of the series shows a crucial moment in this journey: the departure, the desert, the crossing, the arrival in Europe and finally France. PARTIR is therefore a singular work that resonates with the voices of these young Africans who have left their home for another future.
