Eugénie Zvonkine lectures in the cinema department of the University Paris. She has worked for several years as a film selector for Vesoul International Asian Film Festival and has written several papers on Central Asian cinema in journals and collective volumes. Her book on Kira Muratova was published in 2012. She directed the documentary MEMORIES OF THE WAVE (France, 2016) on the Kazakh New Wave. She has published three monographs and two edited books on Soviet and post-Soviet cinema.
