This is my first roll of Super8 film shot through my Beaulieu 4008.

It is a series of tests to see how the camera performs in certain situations. It was also to see how the images came out after I removed the clear filter from the gate because it had degraded. So technically this was the second roll, but the first came out terrible because the filter created a foggy and dirty image.

I also did a sound test, but I don't think my camera is getting to speed at 24fps. The drift between sound and video was huge (video was faster than real-time). But, by slowing the video down to ~91%, I managed to get the sound to sync perfectly. However, this is not an ideal solution as Adobe Pro is duplicating a frame here and there to adjust the playback speed of the video and will be noticeable where more panning or motion is occurring.

I think this will be useful for anyone curious about the Beaulieu 4008 and how the different features come out when used. Such as the variable shutter for in camera fades and manual aperture control.

Special thanks to the guy on the bike who gracefully decided down the stairs in the video. Shame I didn't get his name and it's even more of a shame that the focus was out.
