This is a re-render because my original piece had copyrighted music in it, so please enjoy. Strange is a piece that I made for computer art 334. The technique was 3D animation using Cinema 4D and After Effects for the post-production. The concept was to create an opening scene for a TV series. I chose the series Stranger Things. My interpretation was for it to be as eerie and creepy as the tv series. I implemented a flashlight to go along with the camera motion to act as a person walking through the woods with a flashlight. This gave it an eerie feeling. I used gold material on objects that are significant to specific characters in the series. For example a bike for the main character and a DSLR camera for his brother who was a photographer. These items play a significant role within the first season. They are foreshadowing objects, to say the least. I chose to put the family’s house on a planet to signify that there is more than meets the eye. Not knowing if there are other planets within this scene could lead someone to wonder if there are others. This would be referencing the “Upside down” in the series without giving away too much.
