In December 2018, together with the Sound Up project, we managed create a truly impressive work to the music of the Icelandic composer Johan Johannsson. In his lifetime he managed to leave a distinctive mark in dozens of genres, many of which are hardly related. Those were the soundtracks for the Oscar-winning “Arrival” and the “Golden Globe” movie music for the biopic “Stephen Hawking’s Universe” that made him a real star of the neoclassical scene.
A mirror ball has been chosen as a centerpiece of the generative live performance - and not by an accident! The shape of the circle has long been incorporated into the style and philosophy of the Sound Up project. The interaction of music and the reflections of laser beams from a simple mirror surface filled the audience with an atmosphere of the cosmic depths of the inner world of each viewer.
В декабре 2018 года, совместно с проектом Sound Up нам удалось создать впечатляющую работу на музыку исландского композитора Йохана Йоханнссона. За свою жизнь он успел оставить видимый след в десятках жанров, многие из которых непросто увязать друг с другом. Настоящей звездой неоклассической сцены его сделали саундтреки к оскароносному «Прибытию» и «Золотой глобус» за кинопартитуру к байопику «Вселенная Стивена Хокинга».
Центральным объектом generative live perfomance стал зеркальный шар, и это не случайность! Форма круга давно укрепилась в стилистике и философии фестиваля Sound Up. Взаимодействие музыки и отражений лазерных лучей от простой зеркальной поверхности наполнили зал атмосферой космических глубин внутреннего мира каждого зрителя.
